BNSF and Union Pacific are the stars of the show. Metrolink, as well. Naturally, trains of all kinds traverse California. Above is a UP double-stack move on BNSF at Daggert, CA.
To the Trains…
Plenty of Intermodals on these lines. California ports supply a huge amount of ocean shipping containers. That means double-stacks galore. The Needles subdivision is covered from Daggett to Siberia.
BNSF paint fronts on two engines, as four blue/ yellow warbonnets trail on the Needles sub. East Pisgah with a passing track.
BNSF CAJON
Linwood to Hesperia shown.
Frost has a flyover and Bingo! BNSF with an over/ under meet.
Snow on Cajon Pass adds more beauty to the scenes. Silverwood has a BNSF double-stack meet.
West of Silverwood. A BNSF stack train seems to meet itself. Mid-train DPU power on a horseshoe.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! Norfolk Southern power on an Eastbound. Auto racks are West of Silverwood. Two Soo Line locomotives appear on an opposing heading. Both vehicle trains are BNSF San Bernardino / McCook scheduled trains. BSBDMCI meets the reverse symbol.
Triple meet! The foreground engines are pushers. UP headlight on the Palmdale cut-off. There are several triples shown.
Back to the San Bernardino sub. LA to San Bernardino route.
Southern Pacific motors on the UP Sunset Route to Colton. Highlights are Redlands to Beaumont.
Union Pacfic SD70M 4579 meets an opposing move. El Casco Spur.
Mohave sub is last. Tehachapi line. Rare meet with a UP Officer Special and a Ringling Brothers Circus Train. South of Cameron.
