SP Super Bowl Special
January had SP Sprcial to Pasadena for the Super Bowl. Two Kodachrome SDP45 locos haul this 10 car move. Broncos vs. Giants at the Rose Bowl. Giants won.
UP Super Bowl Special
Union Pacific passenger train deadhead from San Bernardino Yard. Two GP40X units 93/ 95. They pull this one through Cajon Pass. Day after the Super Bowl was played.
This UP train blew a red signal to stop. A Santa Fe freight led by 2851 is flagged down. Both trains facing head-on. The Union Pacific is ordered to reverse back to Summit.
NRHS Convention
July at Roanoke. Three Southern FP7A engines at Bentonville. Lead unit is 3499 with a consist of mainly N&W cars. Arrives at NS yard in Roanoke.
Norfolk and Western 1218 at Bluefield. It gets swapped for the 611. At Schaeffer Crossing. Both Steam are coupled with 1218 on the point. Robert Claytor Jr., operates the 1218.

Operation Lifesaver Special to San Diego. Involves: Southern Pacific, Union Pacific E9A 951and Santa Fe FP45. SP E9A 6051 street runs in Oakland.
