A quick train chase on a minor Union Pacific line. The local travels across the middle of nowhere. Can be considered scenic, if this appeals to the viewer. Originates at Silver Bow, Montana. This freight makes its way towards Pocatello, Idaho. A rare EMD GP39 type is a show highlight.

To the Trains… 👉

Union Pacific 3360 (SD40-2) leads the 3 unit lash-up at the compact size yard. Engines 6112(SD60M) and 2362 trail. Silver Bow is near Butte, Montana. Here is the northern end of the Union Pacific Montana subdivision. Train PCSB is from Pocatello, Idaho and serves to this location.

The star of the show. Union Pacific 2362 (GP39-2). Electro-motive built 39 of these for MKT. An odd duck, with a GP49 body. Seen on a pacing sequence from Highway 41.

The three locomotives haul this train SBPC going southbound for most of the show.

A scenic scene along the Big Hole River.

The re-crewed SBPC travels South of Dillion, Montana.

At Hamer, Idaho the SBPC meets it’s opposite. Now, the 2362 barehands the train. It runs single on the downgrade to Pocatello, Idaho
Union Pacific Super Railroad Volume 3
There. isn’t much to say about this one. An extremely short 28 minutes offers little value for time. Although having professional videography and fine sound. There is little meat on the bone.
It is adequate as a part of the complete set. Would not recommend as a stand alone release. A curiosity in the vast Green Frog catalog.
Earns a basic good rating. Based on it being a high quality production. The brief length holds it back
