Kosin Collection Volume 2

Producer: John Pechulis

Locations: Wyoming Valley, Bergers,

Timeframe: 1970s

Length: 65 minutes

Source: George Naugle

Continuing coverage of Anthracite Roads. Mainly, in the few years preceding Conrail.

A single DVD-R. JPM restored movie film. This edition has more consistent focus vs. Volume 1. Although not perfect. Main Chapter Menu. No additional extras.

Narrated by former professional railroader Mike Bednar. He is a one of a kind host.

Railroads include: Lehigh Valley, Delaware and Hudson, Norfolk and Western, Erie Lackawanna.

The cinematography is somewhat rough around the edges. Film flaws and lighting issues. Although everything is watchable. It’s been restored to best possible images.

Soundtrack is live audio style. Good levels.

Big Alco Centuries on a freight

Many of the trains have rather dark images. To be fair, much was filmed in the forest. So, limited screenshots to pull from in this show.

Centuries exit White Haven Tunnel

Alco C-628 locomotives with #629 leading, exit White Haven Tunnel.

317 leads a long lash-up.

Lehigh Valley 317 with a long lash-up.

D&H 2303 with a freight

Delaware and Hudson 2303 on a freight.

Various Geeps

The Valley still has some Geeps operating together.

Graffiti free rolling stock

A cornucopia of clean rolling stock to view! This is a highlight feature in this show.

Lehigh Valley 640 on a Helper set

Lehigh Valley 640 still in original Snowbird scheme. Helper set going to Croxton.

Alco C420 lash-up in the cut

Alco C420 locomotives in a cut.

NW exits White Haven Tunnel

Norfolk and Western powered trains are seen. I believe these might be D&H moves.

Valley’s Bicentennial Caboose

Lehigh Valley had this Bicentennial paint shown in 1975 here.

Kosin Collection Volume 2

A good collection to have for the abundance of freight cars. A map or two would have been helpful with locations. Railfans and Model Railroaders of the 1970s likely need this one.

A musician for many years. Guitar is my main instrument. Enjoy bass playing .Rock and Blues styles. However, Lead Vocals have been a Huge surprise!
The crowd loves my singing. I sound like; Joe Cocker, Greg Allman, with a bluesy tone. Nobody was more shocked than me. A late bloomer.

I love to have some laughs. People think that I am hilarious, and I remain clueless as to why... :)

I hope that everyone enjoys the material.
