Begins in San Diego with various passenger moves. Amtrak Surfliner departs the Santa Fe Union Station in San Diego, California. Train 771 is departing Northbound. An F59 for power is #465. A look at the interior of this beautiful restored passenger station.

A Southbound Trolley is at the San Diego Union Station.

California Coaster winds its way through the morning fog in the Sorrento Valley. This area sees assorted passenger trains.

Amtrak Train #571 passes the San Juan Capistrano depot.

BNSF 784 is a relettered ex: Santa Fe Warbonnet on a freight . North of San Juan Capistrano. Note the pier in the background. By the way, there are only a few freight trains in this program.

Metrolink passenger trains are seen at Los Angeles.

Amtrak Surfliner train 769 from San Diego passes Mission Tower in Los Angeles. LAUPD is shown. A chunk of passenger trains are seen at the platform here. Ride aboard an Amtrak Surfliner out of LA towards Santa Barbara.

Amtrak’s premier train here is The Coast Starlight. Power on this run is a Caltrain engine 915 leads with a pair of Genesis locomotives. This is at Ventura.

Green Frog has a top quality production. An excellent soundtrack. The interesting script and a solid narrative enhance this visit to California.
This outstanding show can appeal to a wide range of adults and children. The railroad equipment is clean. California coastal areas are tough to beat for scenery. Volume 6 is easily one of the best in this series.
