Route map

A proper route map explains the various lines serving the area. Makes a difference versus so many mapless shows in the marketplace.

Marquette

Soo Line travels on ex: Milwaukee Road along the frozen Mississippi River. It is -2 degrees on this January day at Marquette, Iowa.

East Dubuque

Burlington Northern 2970/2761/1522/2119 all are on Train 146. This move appears at the ex: CB&Q East Dubuque depot. Plenty of whitefaced repaints in this show.

Dubuque

Chicago Central train from Chicago at Dubuque. Nine locomotives led by CC 1550 (GP38).

Savannah

BN 2857 (GP30) is Eastbound as it crosses the Soo Line trackage at the diamonds in Savannah Illinois.

Clinton

Soo Line 2401 (GP9) is switching at busy hotspot of Clinton, Iowa.

Clinton

SOO 738/ 742 are hauling Train 430 as it runs across CNW on a Kansas City to St. Paul, Minnesota freight.

North LaCrosse

Canadian National Train 341. Powered by Grand Trunk 5933/5934 at North LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Shown on the BN track just before it hits Grand Crossing over Soo Line and enters the BN yard.

Train 340

CN 5029/ 5013 zebras. Train 340 ease their departure out of the yard at Lacrosse.

Empire Builder

Amtrak #8 is the tardy Empire Builder. This caused from bad weather. Seen at Donehower, Minnesota. Four hours behind schedule. It meets a Soo Line freight led by engine 787 to St. Paul, which waits in a siding.

Winona

Chicago and NorthWestern at Winona. Engines 6857/6871 back into the yard.

CNW backs into the yard at Winona, MN. as the caboose wheels clear snow off the rails.

Winter Along the Mississippi

A stunning variety of mainly Midwestern railroads shortly before the maga mergers took place. Also, there are plenty of cabooses still in service. This is an action packed show.

The usual professional quality production from Pentrex. Excellent videography. Balanced soundtrack of live audio and informative narration.

The snow covered scenes add an extra layer to the scenes. One may be reaching for a blanket!

This is a fascinating tour of the Winter railroading in the Upper Mississippi River Valley area. Quite an enjoyable program.

A musician for many years. Guitar is my main instrument. Enjoy bass playing .Rock and Blues styles. However, Lead Vocals have been a Huge surprise!
The crowd loves my singing. I sound like; Joe Cocker, Greg Allman, with a bluesy tone. Nobody was more shocked than me. A late bloomer.

I love to have some laughs. People think that I am hilarious, and I remain clueless as to why... :)

I hope that everyone enjoys the material.
