Begins with a history of Colorado. Intriguing mix of old and new images. The Forney Museum at Denver has a collection of vintage Automotive and Railroad equipment on display. Union Pacific Big Boy 4005 is indoors there.

Colorado Railroad Museum is outdoors and features operating Narrow Gauge steam. D&RGW 346 runs once a month. Some fascinating pieces are here!

Georgetown Loop from 2015. Westside Lumber 9. A Shay locomotive operates. These were a key to hauling on old logging lines. FYI, logging lines are a unique and intriguing train subject.

Royal Gorge Scenic. Runs along the Arkansas River. Spectacular!

Tennessee Pass. Seen shortly before closure by Union Pacific in 1997.

Another Tourist Line is the high flying Leadville, Colorado and Southern. This train achieves an elevation of over 11,000 feet on former Burlington Northern rails.

Yet another Tourist Railroad. This one is at La Veta Pass. Rio Grande Scenic operates on ex: Rio Grande trackage. Both Steam and Diesel run out of Alamosa. A former LS&I steamer is shown on an outing from 2012. Longer coverage of this steam engine.

Cumbres and Toltec Scenic. Narrow Gauge. Former Rio Grande. Antonito to Chama. A guest narrator is John Bush. The Cumbres and Toltec President. High point at over 10,000 feet. Five locomotives are ready to run here.

Ride the C&TS. Operates in Colorado and New Mexico. This impressive route is through the San Juan Mountains. Actually was Rio Grande’s San Juan Extension back in the day.

A triple-header freight is chased from Chama. Engine 463 leads at Lobato. Engines 484 and 489 complete the memorable lash-up. Major program highlight which includes views from riding freight cars, hobo style!

The wide variety of equipment is astounding. An intelligent presentation and high production make this a top show. Extensive coverage is tightly edited.
The informative, yet succinct subjects are well done. This show is similar to a PBS style program. Valuable for; Railfans, Model Railroaders and people with historical, or even straight up curiosity. A must see.
