To the Trains… 👉

Timed at 122 minutes

The tour begins in the northern point of this subdivision. This is Nashville and near Radner Yard. Former Conrail 8750 leads a mixed freight at Kane Avenue. Symbol is Q-525. Plenty of leased and run-through locomotives throughout this tour.

Seven Mile Hill

Train Q-583 struggles on the grade at Seven Mile Hill. CSX engine 7300 leads 8050.

Tolohoma has a yard there. Local power has two EMD locomotives. CSX 6126 with another GP40-2 in dark blue paint. They stand fast at the office there. Meanwhile, CSX 678 (AC60CW) has Q-126. The GE led intermodal speeds past.

Cumberland Tunnel

Cumberland Tunnel.  A Northbound freight is Q-126. Bnsf 5218 leads this one downgrade.

Part Two… 126 minutes

Empty Grain move

Train G-687 has a leased unit out front of this grain move. The Cumerland Mountains in the background. Engine FURX 3069.

Anderson

Anderson, Alabama is still on the Chattanooga subdivision. This route skirting the Cumberland Mountains. Q-583 with a dark blue 7300 blows past.

Stevenson

Hotspot Stevenson, Alabama. Norfolk Southern rails are at the station. This place has a longer visit. Norfolk Southern NS-201 has leader 9325, splitting the signals on home rails.

Nickajack Lake

Nickajack Lake is a scenic highlight at Chattanooga. NS-325 travels on the long causeway. Additional trains with assorted power are seen at this lake.

Racoon Mountain approach

CSX Q-676 crosses highway I-24 and a county road here. It struggles on the grade at Raccoon Mountain behind two engines. Heavy Coal Trains gut it out at this location.

Raccoon Mountain restart

Train NS- 736 at Raccoon Mountain crawls past dragging coal. Motors are BNSF 5309/ 1119. Note the two paint schemes. This Coal Train had stalled on the grade. Several redeployed BNSF locomotives are shoving hard on the rear to get this one going.

Abandoned tunnel

Q-127 passes an abandoned tunnel on Raccoon Mountain. CSX 4816 leads the charge of three engines on this Intermodal Train.

Chattanooga

Chattanooga is the endpoint. It is trackside only with some NS and CSX at a junction. Q-676 is at the Wahatchi Junction.

Tour of CSX Volume 4 (Chattanooga Sub)

A thorough tour of the Chattanooga subdivision. The longish show seems to cover all the bases. Nicely filmed with a good soundtrack. Everything is in its place, Just as one expects from Green Frog.

Train videos that are focused in the Southeastern US are uncommon. A busy route. Fine scenery. This Volume 4 is a must-have for the CSX fans and Model Railroaders.

A musician for many years. Guitar is my main instrument. Enjoy bass playing .Rock and Blues styles. However, Lead Vocals have been a Huge surprise!
The crowd loves my singing. I sound like; Joe Cocker, Greg Allman, with a bluesy tone. Nobody was more shocked than me. A late bloomer.

I love to have some laughs. People think that I am hilarious, and I remain clueless as to why... :)

I hope that everyone enjoys the material.
