It is best to reference the formal descriptions. The many maps included are a necessity to comprehend this route. Compass and actual directions are by Railroad timetable and do not match.

The famous Feather River Canyon Route, which was originally Western Pacific. Action with a BNSF Inspection Train. Still appearing as Burlington Northern 2804 (GP30) and BN 2331 (GP38-2) in reverse on Keddie Wye. There are closer views on the approaches.The High Line veers off to the left in this view.

On BNSF, at Clear Creek Trestle, a BNSF three unit lash-up. Barstow, CA. to Pasco, WA. slows for the Inspection Train just ahead

BNSF 670 in Santa Fe Warbonnet livery. Empty Grain Train is routed Fresno to Pasco. The exit from Tunnel 3.

V-RIXPTL is Richmond, California to Portland Vehicle Train, is seen above Indian Creek. Pentrex provides both external and from the cab of this move. Here is Tunnel 4.

Cab ride on BNSF (Dash 9- 44CW) #739 M-PARPAS and a train meet H-VAWBAR led by BNSF 1088. West Moccasin.

Pentrex inserts numerous external views to break any monotony. A train passes snowfighting equipment at Westwood. Additional maps keep us apprised with many locations.

The 739 pumpkin fronted lash-up of H-BARPAS and the power is detailed. This Barstow to Pasco train is waiting on a siding. Notable is 739, which was the first locomotive factory painted in the Heritage 2 livery.

The three trailing engines are all in the Santa Fe blue and yellow warbonnet scheme. The SDP40F is ex:Amtrak.

Travel on former Great Northern rails at Bieber. Symbol H-PASBAR seen in the late afternoon. This turns into old Western Pacific. The Inside Gateway as used by both WP and into Burlington Northern years.

Runnin’ The Highline BNSF’s Gateway Sub
Turns out this is an enhanced cab ride across the 200-mile subdivision. While it begins as a standard railfan style video. Once we are onboard our locomotive. The ride is augmented by numerous trackside views of opposing BNSF traffic and scenery along the way.
This is well produced as one expects from Pentrex. Everything is high quality and in it’s proper place.
While this program is long at nearly 2 hours. The attention to detail leaves no stone unturned. Timely map references are very helpful. Train symbols document the moves. Historical highlights are informative, as the narrative is well-done.
An intriguing tour of the BNSF Gateway sub. No concerns. This show is a winner!
