A single DVD-R. Color, plus black and white films. First class restoration by John Pechulis. The soundtrack of train sounds is fine. Balanced levels. Solid colors.

Jersey City is the beginning. A flurry of Lehigh Valley trains. A riveting mix of 1st generation diesels.

Four F units haul train NE2. Bound Brook.

Symbol SJ2 at Bound Brook. A pair of Alco PA locomotives. They perform fine in freight service.

One for the Model Railroaders. A complete freight train. Switcher 272 on the Port Reading local. Bound Brook.

Alco FA 582 on an Eastbound freight. The scene is at Reading diamonds. This train was stopped. Note the exhaust smoke, as it accelerates.

There is limited steam. Here is East Penn Jct. in a color scene.

Allentown to Catasauqua. In 1965, two new Alco C-628 sandwich a 1964 Alco C-420.

LV GP18 units 302, 303, and 304 with SJ4 at Walnutport.

There are plenty of cabooses to see. An unusual white one is a run-through at Bound Brook.

A 1957 Fantrip from Allentown in Coal Country concludes the show. Onboard the train camera footage. Shenandoah, Centralia, and Mount Carmel are some locations. Diesels start this excursion. They connect onto a Budd car. Tour continues and nicely filmed.

Freight and Passenger trains. A fascinating roster of locomotives in this classic time period. Many 40′ freight cars. Some steam included. Plenty of freight. The 1957 fantrip is well filmed.

For vintage minded Railfans and Model Railroaders. This is an excellent show. JPM film restoration maximizes the assorted film sources. Decent soundtrack. Good narrative. Regular map references. A top tier JPM release!
