The full screen picture looks fine. Live environmental audio. Good levels.

October, 1987. Soo Line sold its original route to regional Wisconsin Central. This show is well paced and many locations are shown.

Shops Yard

SW1200 pair switch at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The plain named Shops Yard is a main hub for WC operations.

Byron Hill

On Byron Hill. The 6527 with one dead engine, crawls upgrade. This train is going to Chicago.

Stevens Point Wisconsin Central offices

Stevens Point has a busy yard. Here, engine 3025 on train T-17 departs past the main office. Two locos trail. 587/4002 hauling hoppers and boxcars.

Wisconsin Rapids

Local with 3025 passes two CNW geeps who’ve interchanged at Wisconsin Rapids.

Soo Line boxcars fitted for grain loading at Junction City. Note the corner tavern. Beer and Brats are a staple.

St. Croix River Bridge

St Croix Bridge. Train is T-006.

Oshkosh

Action in Oshkosh. Train 8 trundles along Division Street. 6535 leads another SD45.

Shops Yard engine facility at Fond du Lac. Former Western Pacific GP40 engines are seen. The GP30 class is retired and shown in a deadline.

Trout Lake Station

Train TL-35 with SDL39 units led by the 585 are done switching. Leave Trout Lake across ex: DSS&A rails..

Minimal WC paintover

Checkout the ex: Milwaukee Road caboose at Sault St. Marie.

The Wisconsin Central

This tour of Wisconsin Central is mainly in Northern Wisconsin. Even runs up to Sault St Marie.

The locomotive pool is second generation Electromotive. SDL39 being the most unique model. Paint is split between WC repaints and  BN green restencils.

As usual, High quality Pentrex product. The general image is the video of the time. Looks pretty good. It is not a modern hi-def show. Narration is interesting. Soundtrack is fine. Videography is very well shot.

Another solid release from Pentrex.
