Run from Connellsville. GP40-3 4002 4003 ate ex: Kansas City Southern. Lettered as AVR. At Scottdale, the 4003 leads slowly.

Port Perry is where some lines converge. One for the Model Railroaders. Tunnel, River, Bridges, and plenty of tracks!
WLE Alpha Route Coal Train

Alleghany Valley 3003 leads to Owensdale. PA. Seen here at Speers. These 5 locomotives are working for Southwestern Pennsylvania, but run by a Wheeling and Lake Erie crew.

After a long wait… The train crosses the massive Bridge over the Monogahela River. Note the former Rio Grande GP40 locomotive in the lash-up.

Wheeling & Lake Erie at Castle Shannon. The GP35HH units, 105 and 102 Operation Lifesaver are ex: Southern units. Combined trackage ran by W&LE had over 800 miles here.

Allegheny Valley 2007, 2004 on a short freight to Bruceton. Pacing sequence. Rebuilt EMD Geeps. GP11s from ICG.

CSX 7343 a GE C40-8W is ex: Conrail. It rolls on top of the intersecting Norfolk Southern line below. This train has crossed the huge Beaver Bridge.

Alco Century 424m This 421 is ex: D&H. Out of Reno.
Buffalo and Pittsburgh

B&P 3001 leads some mixed power. At Tiona.

Union caboose on a Coal Train. Sixty five miles of mainline. Over 200 miles of switching trackage.
Pittsburgh Railfan Expedition
An interesting mix of Class One, Regional and Shortlines. The variety of locations and terrain make for varied viewing.
This release provides a look into the reality of hit and miss railfanning. Kudos to the informative narrative for including details.
The included maps are fine. Pause them if needed.
Not knowing what to expect. Turned out to be an enjoyable and informative show! Gets one out of the rut and off the beaten path.
