Conrail continues to operate on former Lehigh Valley. Back to the Blues. A reference to the Bednars return to Pennsylvania and Conrail. Following a previous trip, Out West.
A single DVD-R. Main Chapter Menu. No other extras.
Images have a higher percentage of slightly out of focus or not well framed views than usual. Colors are good, although there are multiple dark scenes. The soundtrack is fine. Overall, a little off the expected standard for a Bednar film.
Mike Bednar narrates. Sounds rather annoyed in this show. He keeps complaining about GE power and Norfolk Southern. Gets excessive.
Conrail increases their Intermodal business. Delaware and Hudson falls on hard times. Guilford is not a good solution. Conrail is not helpful to D&H either.

CR 8204 GP38 leads a freight at Allen.

Delaware and Hudson train OILC is in reverse to Allentown yard.

At Bern in June 1983. Former Penn Central painted 7957 with an ore train.

GP10 7550 drills cars at Allentown.

Conrail MP15 units are passing Keith Bednar’s former Conrail station. 9621 in front.

MEC 255 leads a mixed bag of power. This from Allentown on a D&H move.

9591 SW 1500 with last revenue local behind Bednar’s house. Car retrieval move. 1983.

At Treichlers, U23B 2770 leads on a freight car pickup.

Testing with an old ex: Jersey Central Alco RS-3 1554 at Jim Thorpe. It shows up again later, beautifully restored.

The 972 steamer leads CNJ 1554 on an excursion. Additional specials such as a Morristown and Erie C430 powered train are included.

Interesting scene. An old Pennsylvania Railroad caboose. Late in its service. Has a working FRED, aka Flashing Rear End Device.
Railfanning with the Bednars Volume 11
While it does document Conrail with Delaware and Hudson. This edition is not up to the high standards set by some previous volumes
The Cinematography is slightly off, in many scenes. If not soft focus, the framing is awkward. Mike goes on and on about crummy GE locomotives and stupid Norfolk Southern. This gets old quick. Especially upon rewatching. It’s not all negative, but give it a rest.
This is a lesser entry in the Railfanning with the Bednar series. Not all bad. Some other previous volumes are better overall. Perhaps check the reviews.
